Calendars can be a great way to organize tasks and appointments. Whether its an important business meeting or your date with someone really special, your busy schedule could risk your commitments and here’s where calendars and task managers come as a real life saver. Stacking the calendar apps in competition there wasn’t  much room for something really new coming your way but OneView has set new benchmarks which will definitely impress users in the first look.

Interface:

All your appointments and reminders at a glance , the whole idea of having all agendas on a particular day, week and even months together on your screen looks fascinating and that all what OneView Calendar for Android brings home. Fire up the calendar and you have all your plans with a very neatly presented interface. A simple pinch to zoom will give you an even wider time frame view covering agendas with higher priorities and hiding the low prioritized ones. Reset your zoom and you have a more detailed agendas list which even covers multi-agendas over a day with colorful bars showing its time frame duration. Though the stock calendar on Android and custom apps from say HTC or Samsung’s S-Planner do the job pretty well but OneView Calendar excels in the way it presents your long term as well as short term goals.

Navigation:

Navigation is quite friendly and a quick tap over a date/month/year zooms to higher details reaching to even hourly plans. So navigating to a specific event is all a matter of a tap and back again with with a pinch out or the current month view.

The app does not include ads and and only offers in-app purchased for customization such as themes and editing colors for specific events. There no such restriction the app poses with functionality and does not force you in purchasing addons which makes it fair for users to decide.

Moreover the developer has included a web app which will mimic the functionality and design of the Android version over any browser, you too can take your hands on by visiting app.oneviewcalendar.com and connecting you Google account with the app.

Verdict :

We will give full credit to the development team in terms of presentability of calendar and appointments, with other basic features to add agendas , select calendars to display from and edit agendas with full capabilities directly from this app. Though it lacks the support of widgets at its current version we hope the developer to be considering the option as well. OneView Calendar is worth a try considering its price point, and you can decide for yourself  how it works on your day to day requirements.
