This is what happened to me yesterday when i had a full wipe of my device , not to forget that my device is rooted yet i did not have my Call Recoder (by Skvalex) backed up via Titanium backup but yes i had the drive upload turned On so my recordings were safe. And it got me worried because i was one of the early buyers of the app since my HTC ONE X could not record from hardware and paid about 10 USD to get the only app that could do the job flawlessly.
Now since this link (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder)
I headed over to the developers XDA profile from where i first started using the test builds even before the actual purchase and this is what he had to say :
Hi
Today I got the attached email from Google. The app is banned from the Play Store. I sent appeal, waiting a reply from Google. Hope they’ll allow to reinstate the app. I think the issue was because of linking to AlsaMixer: https://github.com/skvalex/alsamixerIf you like to purchase the app, you can do it via the site: https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/purchase?hl=en
P.S. If Google won’t reinstate the app I’ll do my best to keep licenses for people who already purchased the app.
But if this has got you worried to you need not panic as you can install apk from the Thread here. The app will be able to verify the license.(in most cases including mine it did).
You can download the latest version of the Call recorder from XDA thread or view the links below which are hosted on XDA and give direct download options.
I really appreciate the developer who cares about the buyers despite Google rejecting reinstatement of his app and now he has to list it as a new app with new package name invalidating all the old links pointing to his genuine hard work. But even if the app is listed with new package name he will provide old users a additional apk to validate the licenses as says the developer.
Google won’t reinstate the app.
But I still can publish the app to the Play Store as a new one. So I’m working on it now. It gonna be a free trial app + another app to unlock the full version. I’ll create an apk which will unlock the full version for people who have already purchased the app. So they won’t have to pay for the app again. Also, I have to remove all root functions from the app which gonna be on the Play Store. So another apk with root functions will be on the xda.
